2 years agoI recently visited southern spices in Udhampur with high expectations, hoping to indulge in some delicious Indian cuisine. However, my experience left much to be desired. Unfortunately, the restaurant fell short in several aspects, and I cannot wholeheartedly recommend it. Firstly, let's discuss the naan. Naan is a staple Indian bread that is known for its softness, flavors, and ability to complement various curries. However, the naan at Naan and Shole was quite disappointing. It lacked the characteristic fluffiness and texture that make naan so enjoyable. Instead, the naan served here was dry and somewhat chewy. The flavors were bland, and it felt as if it had been reheated rather than being freshly prepared. The overall quality of the naan was below average, failing to meet even the basic expectations. Moving on to the shole, a popular Indian dish consisting of spiced meat or lentils, my experience was similarly underwhelming. The shole lacked the authentic flavors that are expected from this traditional dish. The meat in the shole was tough and overcooked, lacking tenderness and succulence. The spices were poorly balanced

4 years agoSouth Indian food here in udhampur, well that's something new. I have tried their Dosas, Uttapam, biryani, shakes,idli. Everything was perfect. The price is also very budget friendly.Yeah they have less space but they are good when it comes to food. Opened near Axis bank barrian(near shotus fashion point)

4 years agoThis place is the first of its kind in Udhampur 👍. I literally loved everything. The best about this place is that you can ask for any change in the dish. The owners and the workers are polite. Recommend everyone to try the food at least once. ☺️☺️
