Hotel Kalka Royal

I stayed with my family here. Had a really good experience, the stay was comfortable, we took 2 rooms. Bathrooms are clean as well. Perfect location ,you get everything nearby.best part is food and the service.We took the breakfast and some snacks for dinner and it taste quite good. Special thanks to kaka ram ji , he treats the guest with utmost respect and hospitality which really made our day. Thanks

We stayed two days in this hotel. When we talked about this TV they didn’t respond. When asked regarding the news channel in our state, no response. The bed sheet is average in cleanliness. Do not trust the person who is arranging travel, because he only needs money and charges higher than the rate and no time keeping. Location wise it is good. You can have lots of other excellent options in and around this area cheaper than this . I paid 2500/- per day

We booked two rooms at Kalka Royal hotel.When I entered the room bedsheets were dirty. There was no soap in any of the disppensers. I called reception 3 staff came and changed the bedsheet. Filled the soap dispenser. We had guests over for few hours and they cant come meet in our room. They had to book another room so they can be with us. Site supervisor is very misguiding person. Runs the show with no empathy . Staff is okay. Overall below average experience.

The rates being charged by them are at par with the well known 5 star and 4 star hotels. The linen in the rooms are not clean and the bed sizes are also very small. No body picks up call in house keeping and you keep on waiting for even smallest things. Would be great if they can do.marking in bathroom on shampoo and body wash bottles. Food in restaurant is good. Staff at reception is arrogant. We took three rooms for two nights. On the last day we requested for late check out for one room (as our train was in the evening)which was refused and in fact full rate was charged for staying till 6 pm.

My worst hotel experience till date. Only plus point is the location, bang in front of the Katra railway station. But that's all, everything else is pathetic. Ok entering the room, I found extremely dirty linen on the bed. Asked for it to be changed, took 10 mins to respond, only to be replaced by a little less dirty linen, and that's all they had. I let it slide since I had to leave for Vaishno Devi darshan in a couple of hours, but when I returned the next morning, I found a huge cockroach in my bed, below one of the pillows. Staff was indifferent, just sending an errand boy who picked it using the in-room menu, and placed it back😂. Later the staff even misbehaved, taking no responsibility whatsoever, just kept pushing for check out. Strands of dust kept falling on the bed from the fan. Horrific, that too when most people are paying for an entire day while staying just 4-5 hours. Please dont ever book this hotel if you want even the most basic level of hygiene (the dorms at Vaishno Devi Bhawan offer better service and cleaner rooms/linens for 1/15th the price)
