The Gulmarg Gondola offers one of the most spectacular cable car rides in Gulmarg, transporting visitors to breathtaking alpine heights surrounded by snow-capped peaks and verdant valleys. This well-managed park and point of interest allows adventurers and nature lovers to explore two phases of the ride: the first offers access to skiing, sledging, and leisurely mountain views, while the second ascends to Apharwat Peak, immersing riders in pristine snowy landscapes that feel almost otherworldly. Guests appreciate the smooth ride, helpful staff, and convenient amenities including restaurants and restrooms nearby. Whether visiting in lush summer or snowy winter, the Gulmarg Gondola promises an unforgettable experience that showcases the raw beauty and serene atmosphere of Kashmir’s mountainscape.

a month agoOne of the best Gondola ride experience, we went for both phases. Phase 1 you can do mostly all good sports like skiing , sledge ride etc. in snowy season, we were lucky when we went in mid march it snowed for few days just before our arrival, on the day also it was fresh snowing lightly.nice views. We bought ticket in advance online a month or so back.

a week ago⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 — Gulmarg Gondola Ride (Visited on 30th November 2025)** I recently visited Gulmarg and took the famous Gondola cable car ride. Since it was late November, the place was almost completely dry, with only a bit of natural snow visible at Phase 2. Despite the lack of snow, the views were absolutely stunning—Kashmir truly has a unique charm in every season, and the panoramic scenery from the Gondola phase 1 and phase 2 is breathtaking regardless of the weather. One disappointing part of the experience was the behaviour of some local guides. They created small artificial snow patches and charged extra money from tourists just to step into that area and take pictures. This kind of commercialization really takes away from the natural beauty and the overall experience. Overall, the Gondola ride itself is wonderful, and the surrounding views are unforgettable. I’m giving it 4 stars mainly because of the unnecessary extra charges imposed by the local guides, which I hope gets managed better in the future.

a month agoYou can take a ride in Gondola whenever you like as there is not many tourists due to Pahalgam incident. You can take Gondola first phase and enjoy one of the most beautiful place on earth. The sight is incredible. There is washroom and restaurants.. from there you can take second phase of Gondola to Apharwat peak where you can enjoy the snow cap mountain around you... You will praise God for creating such a beautiful place. It may be better if you book online, for gondola ticket but tourists are not so many at present and you can take your ticket on spot, there is no time issue right now..first phase is 800 per person while second phase is 1000 per person. There is a parking lot at the foot of the mountain where you can have food and buy whatever you might need on the mountain.. and the gondola ride centre is a walking distance from the parking lot

3 months agoThe Gulmarg Gondola is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! 🚡 Surrounded by breathtaking snow-capped mountains and endless valleys, the cable car ride offers spectacular views that feel like heaven on earth. The ride itself is smooth and thrilling, especially when going up to Phase 2, where the air is fresh and the scenery is magical. It’s well managed, and the staff are helpful. I recommend booking tickets online in advance to avoid long queues. Whether in summer with green meadows or in winter with white snow everywhere, the experience is unforgettable. A must-visit attraction in Kashmir for nature and adventure lovers. ❄️🌲

2 weeks agoA Scenic Ride, A Sobering Reality: My Recent Visit to Gulmarg Gondola This weekend, I experienced the majestic Gulmarg Gondola, a marvel of altitude and engineering. The views were stunning — snow-kissed peaks, crisp air, and a sense of serenity that only the Himalayas can offer. Yet, the experience was marred by infrastructure and operational shortcomings. The entrance and exit areas lacked upkeep, and the 1st phase to Gulmarg felt more like a cage than a welcome point. Phase 2 re-entry was even more chaotic, with little attention to flow, signage, or aesthetics. As someone committed to hospitality excellence, I couldn’t help but reflect: we can learn from private players like Skyview by Empyrean. While I’m not advocating or promoting any brand, their professional approach to cleanliness, crowd management, and guest experience shows how a 360° transformation is possible — and necessary. Gulmarg deserves better. Tourists deserve better. Let’s elevate our standards and match the grandeur of our landscapes with equally inspiring service. #GulmargGondola #TourismDevelopment #HospitalityLeadership #GuestExperience #KashmirTourism #OperationalExcellence #IndiaTravel #CleanIndia
