2 weeks agoAbsolutely stunning and peaceful place to visit! Dal Lake is one of the most beautiful spots in Kashmir. The views of the mountains, the calm water, and the colorful shikaras make the whole experience magical. A shikara ride during sunset is a must — the reflections on the lake are breathtaking. The floating markets, houseboats, and local sellers add a unique charm. It’s usually peaceful, but can get crowded during peak seasons. Water could be cleaner in some areas, but overall the atmosphere and beauty make it worth every moment. Highly recommended for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone looking for a relaxing experience.

a month agoDal Lake is stunningly beautiful and a must-do in Srinagar. However, be prepared for shikara scams. Boat owners will demand outrageous prices (₹1500+). The fair price for a standard 1-hour ride is ₹300-400. Negotiate firmly before you get in the boat and say no to unscheduled "shopping stops." Don't let the touts ruin this magical experience!
