a year agoNichnai Lake is an absolute gem for campers and hikers alike! Located about 13 km from Sonamarg, it's the perfect stopover for those trekking to Vishansar Lake. The campsite is stunning, with crystal-clear water, lush meadows, and vibrant flowers all around. While there, I discovered a few beautiful alpine lakes high up in the mountains. The trek to these lakes is steep and challenging, but the breathtaking views make it worth every step. Not many people venture to these higher lakes, which adds to their untouched beauty. However, it's essential to be a skilled and cautious hiker if you plan to visit them. Most campers prefer to spend the night at the base camp and continue to Vishansar Lake the next day. But if you're up for an adventure, the climb to the alpine lakes is a must!Overall, Nichnai Lake is a fantastic camping site with all the natural beauty you could ask for. Highly recommend it for anyone seeking an unforgettable outdoor experience!
