5 months agoTarsar Lake in Kashmir is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. The trek to reach it is a bit tough, but totally worth it. The blue water, green meadows, and peaceful silence all around make you feel like you’re in a dream. At night, the stars above the lake are magical. The path is not too crowded, so you really get to enjoy nature. If you love mountains, camping, and quiet places, you’ll love this. I’ll always remember how calm and happy I felt there. A hidden gem for nature lovers and trekkers!

3 years agoA very picturesque location in Kashmir. This was through a trek organized by India Hikes. The Tarsar Lake is at an altitude of 12000 feet and the reflection observed in the look on a nice sunny day is awesome. The turquoise blue color of the lake makes it all the more beautiful.

3 years agoThe way to this beautiful lake is from the Aru valley. It is part of the twin lake treks of Tarsar Marsar Lake, Royal Basmai Lake, Kolhai Mount combination.. Had been on a 15 day trek to Tarsar Marsar,. This is an ideal trek for beginners . If weather supports you, then the scenery all along the way is spectacular. Tarsar lake will take your breath away. It is awesome. It is pristine. It is blue....oh so blue. Felt so alive being there. Would love to go again.

4 years agoKeep aside all these photos and reviews, when you actually see the lake all of this will not justify the beauty of this lake. On trek day 3 we reached here to witness the most beautiful lake with beautiful mountain ranges, vast meadows and beautiful kashmiri people. You can’t resist this place, with each passing time you want more of it. Relax yourself by jus sitting lake side. Explore going around it. Its a 2 km lake. Each side show you a different angle. One with snow peak mountain far way. One mountain for marsar lake another for sundarsar. Climb the top for to see its beauty.

4 years agoNo matter how beautifully you capture the photos of this lake, none of them will do justice to the real beauty. The almond-shaped lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in Himalayan region. We were a group of 10 friends from Kashmir University South Campus MSc. Mathematics batch 2019. We started our three day trek on Saturday September 18 2021 from Aru Pahalgam, it took us 2½ hours to reach lidderwath and we set up our camps there. Next day on 19 September we started further trekking at 7 am from lidderwath and reached this beautiful lake at 11am. After eating some food we decided to trek further to the top to get the whole view of Tarsar lake and some views of Marsar lake. It took us 1 hour and 10 minutes to the top and after reaching there we took some photographs. Surprisingly some mobile phones got the signal in Jio and we made few calls to our family and close ones. We'd to reach back to lidderwath so we started to decend, it took us half an hour to reach back to Tarsar camping site and extra 3 hours to the lidderwath camping site. It was and amazing and memorable, we were not equipped with useful trekking equipments and enough food. But all the boys pushed themselves beyond limit and we made the whole trek from lidderwath to Tarsar top and back within 10 hours. I would like to mention the names of my friends who were the part of this trek. Asif Ahmad, Umar Shah, Parvaiz Koli(the most energetic and active person), Majid Shahzad, Samiullah (Sameer), Aabid Ahmad, Aijaz Ahmad ( ist among all to reach Tarsar 30 minutes before), Towkeer Gani Rather, Nisar Ahmad & me ( Shoaib Muzaffer). I'll miss you all guys. Hope to se you on another trek next year.
