2 years agoLiiiiving that boat life π£β΄οΈππ€ My buddies that invited me for this SUV trip around northern India brought us to this tourist trap lake village and were super excited to sleep on this 70 year old house boat... Soooo that's just what we did πππ« I'm not much for touristic places like this little lake town buuut we still managed to have a good time π π§Ώπͺ½ If you are on your honeymoon or have a family this is the place to be for a weekend getaway... If you're 3 adventure traveler dudes.... Maaaaybe no so much ππ€£ππ€ Regardless of the rest of that nonsense the boat we slept on was very beautiful even if a bit crude and rudementry around the edges. Really loved all the detail work in the wooden ceilings as well as the dining room furniture... Reminiscent of the Titanic π€©ππ We had to ride the little paddle boat from the shore to the big boat on the lake that we slept on... Then later in the day we had a sunset tour on the same little paddle boat to the floating markets. It was pretty laaaaaaaaame but at least we can say we did it π One thing I thought was pretty fun were the floating merchants who would paddle over to bring you grilled fish and a lovely Kashmir tea from across the pond πΆππ₯βπ€ All in all it was a great time with my new friends which is what I'm truly thankful for at the end of the day ππππ

4 years agoNice view point on the way to Adi Shankaracharya temple. On a clear day, this place offers a view of the lake, mountains, greenery around the lake and the lake side road. Definitely worth a stop.
