It’s a vast open area that feels like the town’s heartbeat — filled with families, kids, friends, and cricket matches. Every time I arrive in Kishtwar, this is the first place I come. I like to ground my feet here, soak up the sun, and thank God for safety, family, and friendship. There’s something deeply refreshing about being surrounded by the green fields, the laughter of children, and the distant view of the mountains. If you visit Kishtwar, don’t miss spending time here. Whether you walk, sit quietly, or join a game of cricket, Chowgan Park is where you feel the soul of this town. 🌞🙏

Located in the Heart of Kishtwar Town I was struck by its rich layers of history: once the ancient lake Goverdhansar, today transformed into this vibrant open space, now dotted with old heritage trees, an airy helipad, and a shrine and temple on opposite edges — a beautifully peaceful fusion of nature and culture.
