2 weeks agoGulmarg is one of the most stunning destinations in Kashmir, offering breathtaking views, peaceful surroundings, and a refreshing mountain atmosphere. The mix of snow-covered peaks, pine forests, and open meadows makes it perfect for photography, gentle walks, and simply enjoying nature. The calm vibe adds to the charm, and the place feels magical, especially during the colder months. Best Time to Visit Gulmarg December to February: Ideal for full snow, skiing, and winter adventures. March to June: Pleasant weather with greenery and clear views. November: Great for early winter feel with fewer crowds. A must-visit spot for anyone who loves mountains, fresh air, and natural beauty.

a month ago1) Dense forest & clean air Large areas of pine, fir, deodar and spruce forest. Very peaceful, fresh mountain air, and very photogenic. 2) Rare wildlife This sanctuary is habitat to: • Himalayan black bear • Leopard • Hangul (Kashmiri stag, endangered) • Musk deer • Snow leopard (very rare sight) • Red fox, Himalayan langur, many birds You will not always see the animals — but this is prime habitat, so the thrill is there. 3) Bird watchers LOVE this zone There are plenty of Himalayan birds: pheasants, monals, junglefowl, and many high-altitude species. 4) Best for nature-lovers If you really want to see Gulmarg differently — not just crowds & ski slopes — this sanctuary gives that raw, real Himalayan feeling.

7 months agoGulmarg – A Slice of Heaven on Earth! Visited Gulmarg this winter and honestly, it felt like stepping into a postcard! ❄️🏔️ The snow-covered landscapes were absolutely stunning, and the Gondola ride was the highlight of the trip! 🚠 The views from the top? Unreal! 🌨️ Perfect place for skiing and snowboarding 🏂⛷️, but even if you're not into adventure sports, just walking through those serene snowy meadows is a treat for the soul. Peaceful, beautiful, and refreshing. Had some warm Kahwa ☕ and local dishes in cozy cafes – truly heartwarming after a day in the snow. The locals were friendly and helpful too! Can’t wait to visit again in summer to see the wildflowers in bloom 🌼🌸. Gulmarg, you stole my heart! Highly recommended!
