5 months agoWe stayed in the Family Cottage and experienced an amazing hospitality from the staff, especially Purshottam. The cottage made us experience yesterday’s charm of stay in a hill station. Indeed a place to return to…. Thanks Lovneesh

a year agoI recently stayed at this property. And I had a terrible experience. Following are the details- 1- Rooms shown online are very good but in reality they are very bad. Like in online pictures there is alot of wood work and ambient lighting on cieling but actually there is nothing. 2- the bathrooms are very conjusted and lack basic amenities like comb, dental kit etc. 3- there is no proper parking, you qve to park ur car on roadside. 4- we informed Mr Lovenesh ( who did our booking) at 11am that we will reach at 12noon which is the check-in time. However on arrival we were told to wait as the guests already living in the room haven't checked out. So we waited outside for 1 hour before we can check in. 5- The staff is not properly trained, they are very intrusive and have no consideration for your privacy. 6- Please don't consider eating at this place. The food is totally not upto the mark. From stone hard Cheese balls to distasteful mushrooms the food really sucks. To add to this, the prices of this food is too exaggerated for what it's worth. 7- The TV and Fridge provided in their rooms don't work. We checked out from this place early morning without even having morning tea or breakfast and checked into another property. Only book this property if you want a bad experience. I think they have got some fake reviews to gain ratings. Don't be fooled.

a year agoRecent stayed at this overrated place called shiva cottage. I took their premium room which they call Luxury Room. The pictures shown online are very different than orignal room. Real rooms are in bad shape. The place is run by a bunch of unprofessional people. Our room wasn't ready on our arrival at the right check in time. We were made to wait for 1 hour. The food is pathetic, its over priced as well. A dhabha will serve you better food. Their chef doesn't knw the difference between Indian or Chinese dishes. Everthing is same. The Nans are so hard and thick that you can break coconuts with them. The waiters are so rude, the door bells don't work they pound on your door and then barge inside the room like they are staying, they don't respect your privacy. They are charging prices of a 4 star property but dont even give you a dental kit and forget about shaving kit. Their TV dth subscription is expired. When you flush the toilet the water spills on the floor which is very unhygienic. They take their clients for granted. They give you tea making kit but in the morning if light is off they dont turn on generator so how to use that tea making kit i couldn't figure out. I travel alot and stay at premium properties, this is just overrated. Strongly suggest Hotel Forest View or Greentop in this price range. Run by some Lala ji who doesn't know anything about hospitality industry. Totally worst experience. They don't have a proper parking. Your car is parked on the road side. The curtains of rooms are so thin that external lights come in while at night so u cant sleep. There is a mini fridge but it doesn't work. The bathrooms are super small. The geyser in the bathroom hits your head everytime you use wash basin coz its fitted very low in the place where you are supposed to stand. Dont waste your trip by staying at this miss managed filthy property.

2 years agoAll good things come in small sizes! The saying good good for this cute little accommodation with not many rooms, but prompt service & tasty food. The owners themselves take pain to keep a watchful eye on the preparation & presentations.
