HOUSE OF CUISINES

I, along with my friend, visit this restaurant twice a week. The food here is undoubtedly very good, but the staff’s behavior is extremely disappointing. Since I started coming here, I have noticed one particular waiter (most likely the head waiter – I am not sure of his name, but he has big mustaches). His behavior is consistently rude and ill-mannered. Today’s incident was very unpleasant. My friend and I chose to sit in a specific seating area. The waiter immediately told us that the space is meant only for serving Wazwan, as if we were not allowed to sit there just to have normal food.His tone made it feel like he was deliberately insulting us. Out of respect, we quietly shifted to a normal table. But the matter did not end there. When we sat at the normal table, he instructed his junior staff not to seat us there either, saying that the table was reserved only for families. Such behavior towards regular customers is unacceptable. My sincere advice to everyone is: do not visit this restaurant until the staff’s attitude improves. Special note – the staff member responsible for this behavior is the mustache-bearing waiter/head. Good food alone cannot make up for poor treatment of customers.

A quiet place with good food and ambience. We visited during the afternoon and almost all of the tables were taken when we were about to leave. The quality and quantity of food was good. Went with the hakka noodles and the Margarita pizza. The hakka noodles were a little bland but the pizza was delicious. Overall a good experience. Also, there is very very limited parking space around so come prepared for that.

House of Cuisines Located at Kachi Chawni near Dayal House and just beside the Famous Masjid of Kachi Chawni. It has a great dine-in area with proper sitting arrangement. The Menu list is famous for its Non-vegetarian options. They're serving the Kashmiri Wazwan as well along with other Halal Chinese Cuisine including Tandoori chicken, Momos, dumplings, Fish Tikka, various soups, thukpa etc. A great place to visit where you can enjoy the real taste of Non-vegetarian options... So, I swung by House of Cuisine lately and gave their Chicken Do Pyaza a go – it was delicious. Also tried their Tandoori Platter, Peri Peri Chicken Wings, and Chicken Tikka on earlier visits, and they were just okay, nothing to write home about. One gripe though: the food's a bit overpriced for what you get. On the bright side, the vibes are cool, and the service is solid. Overall, the food's alright!

Being a foodie, I am very particular about what I eat and where I eat. What attracts me towards restaurants is not just the scrumptious food but the ambience of the place and the behaviour of the people who serve you. Located in the heart of Jammu, *House of Cuisines* ticks all boxes when it comes to food, ambience and the nature of the people serving. On my first visit we had ordered different dishes and every dish tasted authentic and awesome. I hope the cafe continues to serve scrumptious dishes and carry on with it's charm with food and memories.
