3 years agoYou can see the best of winter sunsets from this place and the bridge adjacent to it. The hazy evenings and the red skies will make you delusional. Surrounded by enchanting and majestic chinar trees, this place is nice to enjoy the sights of a sunset.

3 years agoI stumbled upon this park accidentally while walking towards some beautiful cafes in Srinagar. It was snowing and I had some time to spare. On entering this park I noticed that there is a beautiful view of river Jhelum and the mosque here is a splendid architecture. The arches and domes of the mosque are a sight a behold. Do walk in of you are around. This is one of the beautiful Masjid in entire kashmir specifically in Srinagar with a mesmerising view of River Jhelum. I've clicked some of the pics please find them. attached. Zero sense in local people . This place is meant to get some peace while taking view of river . And in between people start disturbing you . Evening time is best.... The river Jhelum forms by the water of a spring viz. Cheshma Verinag situated at the foot hills accommodating Banihal pass in the south eastern corner of the Kashmir Valley and flows towards west through the Kashmir Valley. In the course upto Anantnag town 3 major tributaries viz Sandran river, Bringi river and Arapath joins on its right flank. Lidder a biggest river of all the effluents that forms the head waters of river Jhelum and is fed by a number of glaciers from the high ranges, joins on its right flank at 2 km..

4 years agoHave captured this pic of a gorgeous full moon night from the footbridge right next to this park (no filters) Grey blue clear evening skies and crystal clear water in the dark, made a stunning mirror like reflection of this light up majestic mountain with a fort. Haven’t seen a more beautiful picturesque frame in all of Srinagar residential area. It’s a marvelous thing to walk this city in a good clear evening considering a few safe measures. Just be home early before 9pm. It’s a bit weary and pin drop quite after that.
