Kashmir Holiday Resort

I recently stayed at Kashmir Holiday Resort on 23rd Nov 2025 and 29th Nov 2025 and had a generally kind of 50/50 experience. The hotel's facilities and services were good, and the food quality was also good. However, I had a bit of an issue with the room allocation. I was charged for a four-star room by MMT, but the room I was given didn't match the standard. I had to request an upgrade myself, which was taken care of, but it was a bit of a hassle. One thing to note for guests booking through MakeMyTrip (MMT) is to ensure you're booked in the A building not in B, as the rooms are significantly better compared to the B building. Also, try to get a room on a higher floor for a better view and more comfortable stay. The location of this hotel is quite far from Dal Lake and the market, which made it inconvenient for me to explore the area. If you're looking to stay in Srinagar, I'd recommend opting for a hotel near Dal Lake Gate No. 17. The proximity to the lake and the market is unbeatable, and you'd be able to experience the best of Srinagar. The staff, particularly Amir, was very cooperative and responsive. He helped me with all my queries and concerns, and I appreciate his efforts. One thing to note for future guests is that it's best to inform the hotel about your meal preferences 1-2 hours in advance, as they might need some time to prepare. Overall, while the hotel had its positives, I'd recommend exploring other options in Srinagar that offer better location and value for money.

Our stay at Kashmir Holiday Resort in Srinagar was simply unforgettable during Sep 20 to 24 Sep. The serene atmosphere and peaceful ambiance made it the perfect getaway. The surroundings are calm and beautifully maintained, allowing us to truly relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Kashmir and Srinagar near Dal lake The food was absolutely delicious. ...Fresh, flavorful, and served with so much care. What really stood out was the warmth and hospitality of the people here; they made us feel at home throughout our stay. Maqsood ji the property owner was very warm and helpful Sahil and Yaseer are quite resourceful at resort with great service If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with great food and wonderful service, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!

Worst hotel. They claim it is 4 star, its not even worth 2- star. Very shitty experience, we checked in late and the rooms and bathroom were not cleaned even when they had 7-8 hours on hand to ready the room before we checked in at 9 pm. The staff was very casual and not professional at all. The next day in the morning two staff opened the door without even knocking and kept saying we were given keys for cleaning even when we hadn’t check out. Don’t come here otherwise you are in for a headache and shitty experience.

Overall experience were good, Hotel staff are so supportive even we have found the location too amazing and soothing view. If anyone planning to visit srinagar then directly contact to the hotel staff. Travel agents may create mess.
