The Peerkho Caves are an ancient cave temple located in Jammu right on the banks of the Tawi River. This spiritual place is dedicated to Lord Shiva and features a naturally formed Shiva Lingam inside the cave. It is also famous as the "Jamvant Cave," as legend says that Jamvant, the bear figure from the Hindu epic Ramayana, meditated here. The temple is one of the oldest in the region, attracting many pilgrims and visitors who seek a peaceful, historical, and sacred experience. The place has a small parking area. The temple doesn’t look accessible to wheelchairs. Photography is strictly forbidden in the temple complex. The road leading to the temple is very crowded, and cars parked illegally make it hard for people to pass, so stricter rules are needed for those who park wrongly.

A must visit place especially if you are a devotee of Lord Shiva as this cave actually consists of a very beautiful shivling as well as the entrance of a cave leading to amarnath which has been closed.
