8 months agoA peaceful and patriotic place to visit near Jammu! Suchetgarh Border offers a unique experience of standing at the Indo-Pak border with a sense of history and pride. Unlike Wagah, it's less crowded, allowing you to explore comfortably. The Retreat Ceremony is simple but still instills a patriotic feeling. The Old Octroi Post and museum provide great insights into border security forces and the history of the area. The place is well-maintained, but keep in mind that transport options are limited, so it's best to come by private vehicle. If you're in jammu Or you come to jammu, this is definitely come to visit.

a year ago"Visited the Suchetgarh Border Post and had an interesting experience. The area offers a unique view of the Indo-Pak border, and it's relatively less crowded compared to other border posts. The security is tight, but the staff is friendly and informative. A great feature is the smart AC bus service available on Saturdays and Sundays from the Jammu Bus Stand. The bus leaves between 3:00 PM and 3:30 PM, and it brings you back to the city after the parade, departing the border around 7:00 PM. This makes the trip convenient and hassle-free. Be sure to check visiting hours and restrictions in advance. Overall, a worthwhile visit if you're interested in border security and military history."
