Zostel Pahalgam

As a female solo traveler visiting Pahalgam in winter, I wasn’t sure where to stay. I wanted a place that felt safe, warm, and comfortable and I’m so glad I chose Zostel Pahalgam. From the moment I arrived, Monika and Basahar made me feel completely at home. Their kindness, warmth, and genuine care are truly unmatched. Not even for a single day did it feel like I was staying in a hostel; it felt like being part of a family. The hospitality here is exceptional, the food is amazing, and the views are absolutely beautiful. They even helped plan our local trips, which made the entire experience so much smoother and more memorable. I’m leaving with a heart full of good memories, my favourite souvenirs from this trip. I’ll definitely be coming back again, and I highly recommend Zostel Pahalgam to anyone, especially solo travelers looking for a safe and comforting stay.

It was such a great experience staying here but the most important part were our hosts who could go beyond measures to help you. It was like experiencing a second home there. I recently completed my visit to Pahalgam in Kashmir and let me tell you, those were some really good days of my life. If you are planning to visit Pahalgam I would suggest you to book your stay at Zostel Pahalgam. You may ask why, when we can have some really good properties like Heevan to enjoy?, it's because of the homely feeling and the family treatment you will get from the hosts cum friends Basharat and Monika. Such lovely human beings who will ensure you feel like home and had the best time till you are with them. We booked the place for a day but then can't move out for 4 days as the vibe was different and we connected with so many light minded people which really helped us to had an amazing time and enjoy the peace and calm which this place holds. The stay was completely safe and we didn't face much challenges and the smiling face of Khursheed bhai eases it all every time you enter the place. The views were amazing, food was delicious and the endless love from the little one Forest really helps you to heal! Made some really good friends and definitely going again with the gang to spend time with the lovely ones!

Zostel Pahalgam is a beautiful property nestled in a scenic location, surrounded by serene woods. Conveniently located right on the highway, it offers great accessibility for reaching here or traveling to nearby places via private or shared cabs. The atmosphere is peaceful and perfect for nature lovers looking to unwind. The dorms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained, offering a comfortable stay. The food served is delicious and homely, adding to the overall pleasant experience. Hosts Monika and Basharat are incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. Their hospitality truly enhances the vibe of the place. Whether you're looking to relax or explore the outdoors, Zostel Pahalgam is an ideal choice for a memorable stay.

We stayed at Zostel for three nights in October and it was too short of a stay! If you're looking for a quiet place, that feels like home and is surrounded by nature, you should come here. The staff is available at almost all time and very helpful. The female dorm was very comfortable, with warm blankets and a spacious wash room. There is mutiple common rooms, a very cosy living room upstairs with the mountain view, perfect for working or reading and then there is the heart of the property: the dining room, comfortable and spacious and we had the chance to connect with fellow travelers every nights, playing games and sharing stories, we felt welcome by the owners of the property and they helped us figure out our plans in the area, giving us advice on our itineraries. Overall we had a very peaceful time in Pahalgam, got to discover the local kashmiri life and found lovely people at Zostel Pahalgam!
